Annual Meeting - July 21
Western Piedmont Community College, Leviton Auditorium
Dr. Edward Hill, a neurologist from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, will be the featured speaker at the annual meeting of the Exploring Joara Foundation on Wednesday, July 21 at 7:00 PM in Leviton Auditorium on the campus of Western Piedmont Community College in Morganton.
His program is entitled “The Iceman Cometh." Dr. Hill was a member of the research team from Wake Forest University that took part in the studies on Ötzi, the 5,300 year old well-preserved, natural mummy discovered in the Alps in 1991. Dr. Hill will provide an insider’s perspective on this famous and fascinating discovery.
A reception for Exploring Joara members will precede the annual meeting at 5:30 PM in the lobby of Hildebran Hall. The annual meeting and Dr. Hill’s talk will begin at 7:00 PM in Leviton Auditorium.
